Ellie finally had her first haircut on Saturday, January 10! Yes, she'll be 3 years old next week, so it's a little overdue. I'd wanted to get it trimmed earlier but was overruled by Dave and Grandma. I guess since it took her so long to have any hair at all I wasn't in t
hat much of a hurry to have it cut, but it did start looking a little shaggy and was more than halfway down her back. She did great - we tried to prepare her for the big event by talking about getting her hair "styled" and we took her to Kids' Cuts; I'd hoped it would be kid-friendly and she'd have a good experience there. However, when we walked in the front door though I could tell she was a little unnerved by the place as there were two kids there screaming their heads off, one of whom was still screaming when we left. She seemed a little nervous and didn't have much to say until it was all over. But she was a good sport and her hair looks cute; we only took about 4 inches off so it's still a little below her shoulders. Way to go, Ellie! (Oh, and today was another milestone for her - she finally used the potty for #2! Hooray! One less kid in diapers is HUGE for us!)
