Ellie's soccer career continues with week 3 of 5... she spent most of this session lying on the
floor while the rest of the team played without her. She wasn't unhappy and said afterward that she had fun, but just preferred to lie on the floor. Go figure.
Zoe had her neurologist appt this week at Gillette and has been diagnosed with something called delayed myelination. I don't think either Dave or I understand it well enough to explain it very well, and we're waiting on some test results to tell us more- it may be March before we get those results. At best, we've been told she'll likely have some delays with her speech and motor skill development and will need some additional therapy, but should be able to develop to her fullest potential. However, there's such a wide range of presentations with this and it's too early to tell how severe her problems could be. We're hoping for the best and also hoping that the problem with the myelin in her brain is not progressing. We'll repeat her MRI in April and follow up with the neurologist and neurosurgeon then.
