Busy week

It's been a busy week for us! Here are some of the highlights:
Ellie successfully completed "Pike 1" swimming lessons at the YMCA. She can do front and back floats, paddle 10 yards w/ a flotation device, jump into the water, put her face in the water, etc. She starts Pike 2 this week already.

On Wednesday, Aidan not only started crawling on his knees (vs. army-crawling), he started pulling himself up to a stand. Now he's not content playing with toys anymore, he just crawls across to any vertical surface and stands up. No fear in this kid!
Zoe saw the neurologist for the results of her MRI and the good news is that there's no change from the last one - there's increased mylenation, which means that her problem is not progressive, and the amount of fluid in her brain has not increased. We'll still have to continue to watch for signs of hydrocephalus such as lethargy, irritability, and vomiting as that can develop at any time, and we'll see the neurologist again in 6 months. The Dr. again advised that Zoe will have developmental delays but there's no way to predict at this time how they'll present, and it's good that we've already started her in PT and OT - the more therapy we can give her and the sooner, the better.

The babies all had their 9 month checkups on Friday and all are doing well. Here are their official stats:
Zoe- 11 lbs, 7 oz., 24" long. Even compared to other 35 week babies, she's not even on the charts yet.
Maddie- 16.7 lbs, 27" long. She's in the 15th percentile for weight, 31st for height compared to a full term baby.
Aidan- 21.8 lbs, 29.2" long. He's in the 71st percentile for weight and 80th percentile for height, also compared to a full term baby.
Finally, we got a new toy this week and had to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather Friday and Saturday:
