We actually had a fairly quiet week last week for a change. We managed to get outside most days for walks since it was so nice out; we even sat outside in the grass for a while. The babies didn't really like the feeling of the grass on their bare feet - definitely a new sensation for them!
Aidan has the distinction of being the first of the babies to fall down the stairs. He managed to slip by me when Ellie and I were making dinner one night and he went head first down the first two steps next to the kitchen. He had quite a big goose-egg on his forehead and still has the bruise to show for it. He's also gotten other bruises on his head from bumping into everything from the coffee table to his crib side rail. We've now removed the coffee table from the family room as he's been constantly smacking his face and head on it. He'll be walking in no time, though; he's already starting to cruise around furniture and has made a few attempts today to stand by himself, letting go of the furniture. The gates are now up!
Maddie is starting to creep around a little bit on her tummy - you can tell she's trying to move towards things outside of her reach, which is great! And she's doing a little creeping around on her butt, very funny. I'll have to try to get it on video.
Zoe's sitting entirely by herself now! We still keep a Boppy pillow behind her in case she tips over but she can sit for long periods of time without support. Now we need to give her more tummy time too so she can strengthen her arms and start to learn to move around too.
Ellie had a fun breakfast out with Grandma on Saturday; I think she really enjoyed the individual attention! She's really enjoying her swimming lessons and starts her tumbling class this week. She's doing somersaults all over the house so I think the tumbling class will be a good way for her to expend some energy!
Not much new going on this week, the neurosurgeon called today and cancelled Zoe's appt. so we'll have to reschedule that. We're just waiting for it to warm up again so we can get outside again! :)
