A great time was had by all this weekend; we took the kids to Apple Valley's Freedom Days family night on Friday night. Ellie got to ride a pony and a carousel for the first time! We also got to check out the inside of an ambulance, fire engine, and a medical helicopter, and then we had a front row seat when the helicopter took off. They had games for kids and a petting zoo too, lots of fun!Saturday we went to AV's Fourth of July parade with
my mom and grandma. We were all decked out in red, white, and blue, the kids even had flag socks on. The parade route is just two blocks away and sadly this is the first time we've made it down there to see it! The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Everyone did great despite missing their afternoon naps; I think Ellie even thought she was part of the parade - what a ham!
