It's been a very busy last few weeks; w
e finally had the babies baptized and had their big 1st birthday party on the same day here at the house- last Sunday, August 16. They did great at the baptism! Maddie unfortunately threw her head back at the last second at the baptism and ended up with a faceful of water but she didn't cry. And they were so good at the party too, even with a lot of people over to celebrate with us. The babies each had their own cake to smash though Zoe wasn't up to it for some reason. All in all, it was quite a milestone for Dave and me, too!!

The day before the baptisms we spent some time at the MN Zoo for Dave's annual work picnic, which was a lot of fun. Ellie got her face painted and hair styled and colored and we had a really nice time catching up with some of our cowo
