Mother's Day!

While I think every day should be Mother's Day, this Sunday was really nice - Dave and the kids woke me up with breakfast in bed, though as I knew it was fruitless to try to eat in bed as I'd have 4 kids clamboring over me at the same time, I brought my cinnamon roll, cappucino and newspaper down to the kitchen to eat with everyone else. They surprised me with beautiful cards and a gift certificate for a massage - SORELY needed (sorry for the bad pun) and we just spent a nice day poking around the house and yard. At school, Ellie spent several weeks preparing my beautiful Mother's Day gift - and surprisingly, keeping it a secret from me:

As she gave it to me, she said "Mommy, I took my whole heart out of my body and put it into the grass". I think her teacher said something to her along the lines of "You sure put your heart into it". Interesting interpretation, huh?

Otherwise, not much new here. We've been a little house-bound with the recent rain, wind, and generally crummy weather so we're getting a little antsy to get outside again. We were able to spend one day outside last week, which was lots of fun and nice to let the kids burn off some energy.Last weekend I attended the first part of a 2 part photography workshop for moms - which was WONDERFUL. Here are some of the most recent photos of the kids (not that they're any better than usual yet, but I'm working on it!) :)
