Crazy busy

The last two weeks were crazy busy for us; I know we say this all the time but I honestly can't believe how fast time goes! It's already the middle of June! I think I already mentioned that we spent Memorial weekend at my dad's cabin until Memorial Day, then came home and spent Tuesday trying to recuperate. We were luck enough to be invited to the Zinken's cabin that week as well since Renee was off of work, so the next afternoon, Wednesday, the kids and I (along with my brave sister Lisa, who came along to help out) left for the Zinken's cabin, arriving at dinnertime. Dave had to work so we left him at home. Poor guy had 2 nights of peace and quiet at the house! We had a great time up north with Renee but the car ride proved to be a little bit too long for the littles to handle very well. It was rough on all of us! Dave and I had a long overdue night out Friday night - we went out for dinner and to the Bret Michaels concert, which was a lot of fun. I spent most of Saturday at a photography workshop and learned a TON! Can't wait to spend more time this summer taking more and better photos of the kids! THEN, Sunday morning we met up with another triplet family at Como Zoo for a few hours. We met the Wegleitners when we were both pregnant with our triplets, and they are just an amazing family! Their oldest daughter is just a year older than Ellie, so the girls hit it right off. Their triplets are also two identical girls and a boy, and they were born about a week after ours - we were even across the hall from them in the nursery at Abbott! We had so much fun getting together with them, hopefully we can do it more often!

This past week was just a little quieter but we managed to get in a surprise visit to Dave at work, which was fun. We also had an awesome visit from an old friend of mine from St. Cloud who I'd lost touch with for almost 10 years! It was so fun to catch up with Melissa and meet her adorable son, Jack! This morning, Ellie and I went with Lisa to the Mpls Farmer's Market, which is always a lot of fun - I love going there! Ellie really seemed to enjoy it, too. Finally, this afternoon, Dave took the girls up to his mom's birthday party, but I kept Aidan home as he has a 103 degree fever, poor guy. We'd found a deer tick on him last Friday after being up north, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his fever doesn't have anything to do with that. We'll see how he feels in the morning. Whew! No wonder this summer is already going so fast.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that Zoe is walking?? She just took off on the Sunday before Memorial Day at the cabin, cruising across the family room and she hasn't looked back since! I've only caught her "scooting" a couple times in the last two weeks; she's walking about 90% of the time now and getting better every day! You can tell she's SO proud of herself. Her little face just lights up and she grins at us as she's walking around. I've even caught her doing laps around the kitchen island, I think she was just doing it for fun!

Most of these photos are from the Zinken's cabin, but I had to post one from the farmer's market this morning too. Ellie just seems like such a big girl, out shopping with her market bag!
