It was Fall Festival in Amery, WI this weekend so we headed up there Saturday with the kids to have some fun. Amery is close to my dad's cabin and I don't think we've missed Fall Festival in over 10 years! The kids loved the parade; Ellie danced and marched along with the marching bands and waved to all the princesses on the floats, but she really has to work on her technique for picking up candy - all the other kids beat her to it every time! She still had fun, though. We had lunch in Amery too and browsed the Arts and Crafts fair before heading over to let Ellie ride a horse with the 4H'ers. We then spent the rest of the day at the cabin, getting a few things done there with my dad and having dinner before driving home last night.
We spent most of today catching up on some house cleaning and yard work but the kids got to enjoy the beautiful afternoon outside playing in the backyard. Yes, they look like total ragamuffins but it just shows how hard they were playing! I've got my fingers crossed that they sleep well tonight. ;)
