Snowmen and haircuts

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Saturday was our first snowfall of the year, and we got socked with at least 8" of heavy, wet snow at our house - perfect for snowballs and snowmen! The littles were a little unsure of the snow as they were too young last year to remember it, but Ellie was SO excited. We spent Saturday snuggled inside the house but then made it outside Sunday afternoon for a little bit. Dave and the kids made the snowmen (above). Aidan was definitely not a fan of wearing his coat, hat and mittens and in fact, wasn't too keen on being outside at all. He finally wrestled all his outerwear off so that was the end of his excursion outside. The girls, however, stayed out a little longer and even got to try a little sledding in the front yard. Zoe and Maddie got their first haircuts last week! They actually did very well, only a couple tears from Zoe, and none from Maddie. The suckers definitely helped! I haven't gotten any photos of how their hair looks now, but both are about shoulder-length: a little shorter than I'd planned, as it's hard to get their hair up in ponytails, but they don't seem to mind!
