We really enjoy decorating for Christmas around here and have some sort of Christmas decor in every room of the house. Ellie has a small Christmas tree in her bedroom - complete with multi-colored lights and miniature ornaments. She still sleeps with a nightlight on every night but lately she's also asked to keep her Christmas tree lit while she's sleeping, which we're happy to oblige in the spirit of the season. Tonight was no different, it was Dave's turn to read her stories and tuck her in, and he left her with both the nightlight and Christmas tree all aglow. Soon after Dave said "goodnight" and left her in her bedroom, we heard the pitter-patter of her sweet little feet coming down the stairs. She comes into the family room where we're sitting, and in her innocent 4 yr-old voice, says:
"Dad, can you take the Christmas tree out of my room? It's bugging the crap out of me."
Merry Christmas, everyone!
