Tee ball

Ellie's tee-ball season, and perhaps her entire tee-ball career, wrapped up last week. Despite my high hopes, she wasn't totally enthralled with the game, and was quickly frustrated when she didn't know how to bat well, or throw well, etc. We finally got out of her that she felt really nervous when she was up to bat and was worried that people were going to laugh at her- such pressure for a 5 yr old already! We did our best to ease her fears and let her know that all the kids were learning right along with her, but at this point she's not too keen on continuing on with tee-ball or softball again. Hopefully with time she'll come around, as I think overall she had fun, and we all really enjoyed watching her and the other kids! Here are some pics from last Thursday night:

Ready to field the ball

The cutest girl on the team! (OK, the only girl on the team).

There's no smiling in tee-ball!

We spent this weekend up north at the Zinken's cabin and had such a fun time, with the exception of our sleeping arrangements - or lack of sleep. More to come on that - and Maddie and Zoe's first fish! - later this week. I'm going to bed now. Here's a preview:

I'd like to see a picture of coach. He makes it seem like he's the next Gardy...

Great picture of Ellie batting! She has great form and is certainly keeping her eyes on the ball. She makes her grandma proud!!
