We’ve been really struggling with Zoe at bedtime lately; she doesn’t want to go to bed or stay in bed unless I’m with her. Here’s just part of our exchange last night:
Zoe: “I don’t want to go to bed!”
Me: “Is there something wrong with your bed?”
Zoe: “I don’t want to go to bed!”
Me, trying a different tactic: “Zoe, do you want your crib back?”
Zoe: “No!”
Me, thinking I could get her to acknowledge that big girls sleep in big girl beds: “Zoe, are you a big girl or a baby?”
Zoe, after some thought: “I’m a tiny little peanut.”
