Finally, some photos.

It seems it's been a while since I've posted some photos of the kids. I've been taking some, honestly! This photo of Ellie was taken on October 5 - I can't recall the exact temp but I think it was somewhere around 86 that day?? Crazy. The kids were begging me to fill up the pool but only succeeded in talking me into letting them play in the sprinkler.

Dave and I were working on the yard one day and looked up to find Ellie teaching Aidan how to ride a bike! Yes, I agree he should be wearing a helmet, and he usually does. But it was such a sweet moment we just let them go and watched for a little while. See, they can get along!

My cousin and her husband and kids came to visit this weekend from Rapid City and we got to see their new baby girl for the first time. Can you believe at 6 months old, she weighs about the same as Zoe? What a cutie! My mom was loving holding a squishy baby again, can you tell??
Today we took the kids to pick out their Halloween pumpkins. We always go to Pahl's Market in Apple Valley and the kids love that they give out free popcorn, so we had to take full advantage of that! We let each of them pick out their own pumpkin. It was a tougher decision for some than for others, but we won't name names. I felt terrible that we didn't bring jackets for the kids; it seemed really nice out when we left, but it felt cooler and more windy at the market, and before we were quite finished, it started to rain. Zoe and Maddie were actually starting to shiver as we were leaving! But still, we got the popcorn, and more importantly, the pumpkins! Now we'll have to make time this week to carve them. Here are a few photos from today:

In other news, we've started Zoe on her growth hormone treatments this week! On Wednesday I sat down with Zoe and explained that her doctor had some "special medicine" that he was going to give us that would help her grow to be a big girl like Maddie and Ellie, and that she'd have to have a little shot every day to take the medicine. She pouted a little bit but seemed excited that she would be growing bigger. Thursday as I was getting ready to go she asked me if it was time to go to the doctor. When I replied "yes", she said enthusiastically, "I'm going to be a big girl. I won't be a little peanut anymore!" We picked up Dave from work and we all trekked into the doctor's office so he and I could learn how to administer the shots. Dave and I even got to practice on each other before I got to give Zoe her first one. She's now getting one shot each day, which she's understandably not too fond of. But we're trying to keep it quick and giving her lots of hugs and kisses - plus a little treat - when we're done.  I hate to make her cry but I know it's for the best! Can't wait to see how it works for her!

Oh, wow! Those photos are classic! They remind of the pictures my parents took when we were kids. Just everyday fun stuff!
