Anyone need a double dose of Zoe today?
First: Zoe is understandably not too happy about getting her growth hormone shots every day. We give them to her right after dinner, and as soon as dinner's over she starts to get teary and sad as she knows what's coming next. Last night I was trying to comfort her and calm her down and asked her, "Don't you want to grow big?" (Yes, Grandma, I know that's poor grammar). Her response? "No, I want to grow small!"
Then, Zoe's been having trouble for a while going to sleep by herself and also waking up in the middle of the night, and will only let me - not Dave - comfort her. Last night after putting the kids to bed she was yelling for me as usual but Dave told her I'd gone to the store; she'd promptly calmed down and went to sleep by herself. She still woke up yelling for me at 1 a.m. and so I went into her room to quiet her down. As soon as she saw me, she stopped yelling and said to me, "I was worried about you!"
