stunned pleased to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Winnie!
Winnie is a 2 yr old Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix who was rescued from a farm where she wasn't treated very well. She just had her 2nd litter of puppies and is very skinny but is just the sweetest thing ever. Her eyes come from the shepherd side - one is golden brown, the other is half blue/half brown. And she sheds like a retriever. Excuse me while I go vacuum....
OK, I'm back.
We I had a temporary flash of insanity on Saturday when we went to the pet store to replace Ellie's fish. Oh yeah, we got fish last week, one for each kid. Ellie's lasted 6 days. But, I digress. The pet store happened to be having an adoption day and we all trekked over there together and just had to go "look" at the dogs. As soon as I saw Winnie, all of my common sense went out the window and I about begged Dave to agree to adopt her. Yes, that's the truth, right, Dave? This was completely unplanned; we figured we'd get another dog eventually but hadn't even discussed it as a possibility right now. But, life is like a box of chocolates, right? I think I heard that somewhere. :)
