The kids are so proud of anything that comes out of our miniscule garden. Today we picked 3 zucchini (or is the plural of zucchini zucchinis? Argh..) and figured we'd better take a picture with the pumpkin someone "accidentally" picked about 3 weeks ago. (pssst..don't tell the kids, it's getting soft and there's no way this thing is making it to Halloween). We must've planted it too early? We have sunflowers, 2 or 3 different kinds of tomatoes and peppers, so Dave and Ellie made some fresh salsa last week. Next year I have a feeling we'll be expanding our garden quite a bit -hopefully the kids will be more into weeding next year too! Anyway, we'll be making zucchini bread today, supplemented with some additional zucchini(s) I bought from the farmers market. I'm hoping to make several loaves so we have some to freeze and some to give away. Any takers?? (and no, don't worry, Aidan's not really doing anything strange with that zucchini. Get your minds out of the gutter, people).
