I know, I know.

I've gotten enough grief for not posting anything since October. It started with Halloween - one of our precious children had a meltdown over her costume, so we didn't get any photos of the kids in their costumes that night. I won't name names, but to this child we've apparently become the totally uncool parents who don't want their 6 yr old to freeze in their flimsy cat dresses without sleeves or coats. Said child actually later thanked us for making her wear long sleeves and said - wait for it - "You were right." Have you fallen off your chair reading this???
The costumes are all still in our front closet, not yet put away for next year in the hope the kids will allow me to reenact Halloween before the snow flies - my pleadings so far have been ignored. But, I'm not giving up just yet.
Thanksgiving was good - but again, few photos. Which brings us to today.
I've been keeping busy with photo shoots. Of other peoples' kids, of course. Which has been wonderful, but suddenly it's December 2nd and I don't have a recent, good photo of our 4 kids to use on a Christmas card. A great opportunity presented itself in the annual Holz Farm Old Fashioned Holiday which was held this weekend in Eagan. We headed over there to have fun and snap a few photos at the same time. Despite it being a little chilly and damp out, we had a really great time making smores around a campfire, touring the barn, chicken coop, historical farm house, and enjoying a hay ride. Trying to get one good photo of our kids, was as usual, easier said than done. Please enjoy the outtakes!
Really, Ellie?

OK guys, the camera's over here.

Maddie, what are you doing with your tongue?

Again, Maddie?

Almost ready to give it up

I think Aidan wishes he had a brother by now.

Open those eyes, Aidan.

And now, Zoe.

Hey, didn't I see that same expression on Ellie shown on another picture recently polled-namely her school picture? Just goes to show retakes don't necessarily get you a better picture :) They are still very cute pictures and looked like fun!
