The kids had their 5 yr checkups today; as an added surprise, Aidan turned up with strep! No symptoms beforehand, but the CPNP was suspicious enough of his red throat while giving him the once over that she had him tested. It's always something with us, isn't it? Anyway, here are their stats:
Aidan: 50 lbs, 44.3" tall. Up from 42 lbs last year and 41". This kid is in the 93rd percentile for weight and 95th for height. No worries about this guy!
Maddie: 34 lbs, 39.8" tall. She's up from 30 lbs and 37.3" last year. Still on the small side, she's at the 12th percentile for weight and 7th for height. We have some concerns about her speech - she's still difficult to understand at times, possibly caused by persistent thumb-sucking - so we'll be having her checked again for that. Otherwise perfectly healthy!
Zoe (Drum roll, please....): Zoe is finally on the charts at 1% for both height and weight!! She's now 29.5 lbs and 38.5" tall. This is up from 23 lbs last July and 34.5"; she's up 6.5 lbs and 4"! And closing in fast on Maddie, the two are now less than an inch apart in height. Way to go, Zoe!
