To celebrate Dave's 41st birthday today we packed up the kids, Winnie, and a yummy picnic lunch and headed up to Interstate Park in Taylors Falls. Dave and I hadn't been there since we were dating, and the kids had never been there; they were a little skeptical about having any fun there and instead were pushing for a trip to the zoo. But, we persevered and once they got there, the kids had a blast! We got in on a tour of the world famous potholes, which fascinated the kids, and then climbed and hiked around a little before stopping at Schoony's in downtown Taylors Falls for some ice cream before heading home. The weather was beautiful and I think Dave really enjoyed his birthday!
