I pretty much covered September earlier with the start of 2nd grade for Ellie, and Aidan, Maddie, and Zoe's last year at Grace Preschool. Looking back at the calendar it looks like most of our time was spent adjusting to our new fall schedule. Maddie started speech classes two mornings a week; a school bus even comes right to our driveway just for her, and she loves her speech teacher, Miss Jessica.
October was also busy, as usual. Ellie had the pleasure of getting four teeth pulled at the oral surgeon over MEA, which she came through like a champ. She was "gifted" with an extra set of 2 top front teeth, which sat between her baby and adult teeth, preventing the adult teeth from coming down into place. This is Ellie just a few hours after oral surgery:
It'll be a while before those two top front teeth can move down into place, so she'll be toothless for a while!
We made our annual trip to the apple orchard in October, too, which I wrote about here. We picked a very cold weekend to take out our dock at the cabin, but thankfully Zoe and Maddie came prepared:

As cold as it was on Saturday when we were pulling the dock, we shouldn't have been surprised when it started to snow on Sunday as we were packing up to leave. Huge snowflakes. The kids were pretty excited about the snow; the first snowfall is always pretty, at the very least. And the kids have never been to the cabin when snow was on the ground; unfortunately we weren't prepared with winter clothing for them to go play in the snow, but they at least got to sneak out and pack the first snowball of the season.
