Yes, today we had snow in Mesa! To be more specific, in our neighborhood of Bella Via. The HOA brought in 30 tons of snow - or more specifically, 30 tons of ice, which was then put into a woodchipper and shot into one of the neighborhood greenways. Not quite the same as real snow, but close enough! Our kids were a little dismissive of the idea beforehand; they didn't even want to bring their snowboards, as they didn't think they'd be able to use them. Thankfully, they were proven wrong very quickly!
Today's high was a balmy 70 degrees; a little warmer than the 50s and 60s we've been having lately. It felt wonderful, but it also had the effect of melting that snow fairly quickly. Dave and I had as much fun watching the kids as I think they did sledding, snowboarding, and having snowball fights. Ok, we might have gotten in on the snowball fights a little bit. We had to defend ourselves somehow!
